About this role
🍳 Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, menus, and quality standards.
🥕 Wash, chop, and portion ingredients to support daily kitchen production.
🔥 Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is served safely and consistently.
🧼 Maintain a clean and organized workstation, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas.
📦 Receive, store, and rotate ingredients and supplies using proper food-handling practices.
✅ Check food quality, portion size, and presentation before service.
🤝 Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to keep service running smoothly.
🚦 Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
🎓 Secondary school diploma or equivalent preferred; cooking experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
💪 Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, stand for long periods, and lift moderate loads.
👀 Strong attention to detail for food quality, plating, sanitation, and timing.
🤝 Good teamwork and communication skills.
🛠️ Knowledge of safe food handling, knife use, and kitchen equipment operation.
🚦 Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and health regulations.

Terms of employment
Permanent full-time employment with a 40-hour work week; shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Standard probationary period applies.
