About this role
🚜 Operate forklift equipment to move, stack, load, and unload building products safely and efficiently.
📦 Receive incoming materials, verify counts and condition, and place stock in the proper storage locations.
🚚 Prepare orders for shipment by picking, staging, and loading product to meet daily dispatch schedules.
✅ Complete routine inventory checks and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor.
🚦 Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including safe lifting practices and equipment inspections.
🧹 Keep the warehouse, yard, and material handling areas organized, clean, and free of hazards.
📋 Accurately record stock movements, transfers, and other required warehouse documentation.
🤝 Work closely with shipping, receiving, and production teams to support smooth daily operations.
Requirements
Must have valid forklift certification with 1+ years of operating experience
Valid driver's license and vehicle to get to work (There is no public transit to our location)
Experience working as an Order Picker
Physically capable of heavy labour work within a fabrication shop setting
High attention to detail
Knowledge about lumber would be very advantageous
Experience in framing would be an asset
