About this role
ποΈ Measure, cut, and install framing, drywall, ceilings, and related carpentry components for renovation and alteration projects.
π§ Build, repair, and finish interior structures to meet project specifications and quality standards.
πͺ Install suspended ceiling systems, wall framing, and backing for fixtures, finishes, and millwork as required.
π§± Perform drywall hanging, taping preparation, patching, and finishing work on occupied and active job sites.
π οΈ Manufacturing and framing custom molds as required to be reused or for custom requirements of the jobπ Interpret drawings, sketches, and site instructions to complete work accurately and efficiently.
π¦ Follow safe work practices, maintain a clean work area, and comply with jobsite safety requirements.
π€ Coordinate with site leads, trades, and clients to keep renovation schedules on track.
β Inspect completed work for fit, finish, alignment, and overall workmanship before handover.
π€ Other duties as required to complete tasks.
Requirements
β³ 4 years of carpentry experience is required in renovations, drywall, finishing, or building alterations and supervisory experience is an asset to transfer skills and mentor unskilled.
π οΈ Working knowledge of drywall installation, suspended ceilings, framing, and interior finishing techniques is required.
πͺ Ability to lift materials, work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks in varied site conditions.
π Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, accurate finishes.
π€ Good communication skills and the ability to work well with supervisors and other trades.
π Reliable transportation to Edmonton-area job sites and a valid driverβs licence are an asset.
π¦ Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and safe use of hand and power tools.
