About this role
Provide care for approximately 150 head of cattle, including feeding, watering, health monitoring, moving livestock, cleaning pens, maintaining barns and water systems, and assisting with calving, branding, vaccinations, weaning, and other herd activities.
Operate and maintain tractors, combines, seeders, sprayers, loaders, grain trucks, balers, and other agricultural equipment used in seeding, spraying, haying, harvesting, feeding, and material handling.
Assist with all phases of crop production across approximately 5,000 acres, including land preparation, seeding, fertilizing, spraying, harvesting, grain handling, hay production, and feed storage.
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on farm equipment, buildings, corrals, fences, water systems, and other farm infrastructure.
Load, unload, transport, and store livestock, grain, hay, seed, fertilizer, feed, and agricultural supplies safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate livestock, production, and inventory records while following biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety procedures.
Adapt responsibilities throughout the year to meet seasonal priorities, including calving and seeding in spring, pasture and hay management in summer, harvesting and winter feed preparation in fall, and livestock care, equipment servicing, and farm maintenance during winter.
Work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak agricultural seasons as required by weather conditions and livestock needs.
