About this role
🔧 Perform service, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
🚦 Diagnose mechanical, electrical, airflow, and refrigerant issues and complete work safely and efficiently.
🛠️ Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation equipment, and related controls and accessories.
📋 Complete accurate service reports, job notes, and material usage records for each work order.
🤝 Communicate clearly with customers about findings, recommended repairs, and equipment operation.
🧪 Test systems after service or installation to confirm proper performance and code compliance.
📦 Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and manage parts, tools, and inventory as assigned.
🏗️ Work collaboratively with dispatch, office staff, and other technicians to meet scheduling needs and job deadlines.
Requirements
🎓 Journeyman certification or equivalent HVAC trade qualification is required.
⏳ 3-5 years of HVAC service and installation experience preferred.
💻 Strong working knowledge of gas heating equipment, refrigeration systems, and HVAC controls.
🚗 Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record are required.
💪 Ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks.
🤝 Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with homeowners and co-workers.
👀 Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safe work practices.

Terms of employment
Permanent full-time position with a probationary period. Regular schedule with some on-call or overtime as required during busy seasons.
