About this role
π§ Install, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC/R systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment.
π§ͺ Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform troubleshooting, and complete efficient on-site repairs.
π¦ Follow safety procedures, industry standards, and applicable codes while working on customer sites.
π Document service calls, parts used, and work completed accurately for internal records and customer follow-up.
π€ Communicate clearly with customers about equipment condition, recommended repairs, and installation options.
π οΈ Assist with system start-up, testing, commissioning, and performance verification after installation or repair.
π¦ Track materials, tools, and replacement parts needed for jobs and coordinate with the office or dispatch as required.
π Work independently and as part of a team to complete service and installation work in a timely manner.
Requirements
π Completion of a refrigeration and air conditioning or related HVAC trade program, or equivalent hands-on experience.
β³ 2-4 years of related HVAC/R service and installation experience is preferred.
π» Strong troubleshooting skills for refrigeration, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
π Valid driverβs licence and a clean driving record, with ability to travel to job sites in the Williams Lake area.
πͺ Ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks in varied weather conditions.
π€ Good communication and customer service skills, with a professional attitude on site.
π Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship.
π οΈ Familiarity with hand tools, gauges, test equipment, and standard HVAC/R service practices.
