About this role
🔧 Install, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC/R systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment.
🧪 Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform troubleshooting, and complete efficient on-site repairs.
🚦 Follow safety procedures, industry standards, and applicable codes while working on customer sites.
📋 Document service calls, parts used, and work completed accurately for internal records and customer follow-up.
🤝 Communicate clearly with customers about equipment condition, recommended repairs, and installation options.
🛠️ Assist with system start-up, testing, commissioning, and performance verification after installation or repair.
📦 Track materials, tools, and replacement parts needed for jobs and coordinate with the office or dispatch as required.
🏠 Work independently and as part of a team to complete service and installation work in a timely manner.
Requirements
🎓 Completion of a refrigeration and air conditioning or related HVAC trade program, or equivalent hands-on experience.
⏳ 2-4 years of related HVAC/R service and installation experience is preferred.
💻 Strong troubleshooting skills for refrigeration, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
🚗 Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record, with ability to travel to job sites in the Williams Lake area.
💪 Ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks in varied weather conditions.
🤝 Good communication and customer service skills, with a professional attitude on site.
👀 Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship.
🛠️ Familiarity with hand tools, gauges, test equipment, and standard HVAC/R service practices.
