About this role
🔧 Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and controls on residential and commercial projects.
🚦 Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical code requirements to complete work safely and accurately.
🧪 Test circuits, troubleshoot faults, and verify proper operation of wiring, lighting, and power systems.
🏗️ Perform rough-ins, service upgrades, panel changes, and device installations as assigned.
✅ Inspect completed work for quality, compliance, and safe workmanship before closing out the job.
🤝 Coordinate with project leads, other trades, and customers to keep work moving efficiently.
🛠️ Use hand tools, power tools, test instruments, and jobsite equipment responsibly and maintain them in good condition.
📋 Complete job documentation, material usage notes, and work orders as required.
Requirements
🎓 Valid journeyperson electrician certification or equivalent recognized qualification in Saskatchewan.
⏳ Minimum 3-5 years of electrical experience in residential, commercial, or light industrial settings.
💻 Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and safe work practices.
🚗 Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Saskatoon.
💪 Ability to lift materials, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks in varying conditions.
👀 Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
🤝 Good communication skills and a professional approach with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
