About this role
π Operate specialized forestry equipment to safely harvest and move timber in remote mountain terrain.
π οΈ Perform daily inspections, basic maintenance, and equipment checks to keep machines in safe working order.
π² Navigate steep slopes, uneven ground, and difficult terrain while maintaining production targets.
π¦ Follow company safety procedures, site rules, and environmental guidelines at all times.
π§οΈ Work productively in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, mud, and cold temperatures.
π€ Communicate with supervisors and crew members to coordinate machine movements and work sequence.
π²Commercial thinning on steep slopesπ Record equipment issues, work completed, and any safety or operational concerns during the shift.
π¦ Support loading, sorting, and site clean-up activities as required to keep the work area organized.
Requirements
β³ Min 2 year experience operating logging or heavy equipment in forestry and logging using forwarder/harvester machines.
πͺ Ability to work long days, lift as required, and handle physically demanding outdoor work.
π Valid driverβs licence and reliable transportation to and from the Clearwater area.
π οΈ Comfortable working around specialized machinery and performing routine checks and minor troubleshooting.
π§ Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and commitment to safe operation in rugged terrain.
π€ Willingness to work as part of a close-knit crew in a remote setting with limited services nearby.
π¦οΈ Ability to work in all weather conditions and adapt to changing mountain and forest conditions.
