Executive and Growth Assistant (Sales Calls, Marketing, AI Automation)

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Part Time Negotiable/hr 8 applicants

About this role

About us

Metric Design is a full-service interior design studio in Saskatoon, Canada, open since 2011. We design and project manage homes and commercial spaces from first concept to final styling, and we plan events, retreats and experiences.
MetricLy is our sister software company, building a taste intelligence platform for home furnishings and interior products for retailers, vendors and design professionals.

Both companies are growing, and we want a go-getter to grow with us. You'll run the founder's inbox and calendar, get on the phone to source and book work for both companies, build the automations and AI workflows that save us hours, and help decide what we put out into the world.

What you'll do

  • - Source new leads and call new inquiries, follow up with past clients and business prospects, and book consultations, provide demos, etc.

  • - Keep our leads current in our CRM & ClickUp and follow up on every one

  • - Find repeat work across both companies and automate it with Zapier, Make, Claude or similar

  • - Build and run the team and founder's AI workflows in Claude and ChatGPT

  • - Triage the founder's inboxes and manage her calendar across time zones

  • - Plan and schedule posts for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok, and draft blog posts that have a balance of informative content and viral tendencies.

  • - Choose, create, and present the photos, renderings and visuals that show our work best, and build documents in Canva

  • - Support event, retreat and experience planning

  • - Book travel and handle personal admin

Schedule and pay

30 hours a week to start, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Saskatchewan time, moving to full-time as the work grows. The shift doesn't change throughout the year. Hourly pay based on experience.

How to apply

Apply here with your resume, then answer the screening questions:

  1. - Tell us about an automation you built that saved real time. What did it do, and which tools did you use?

  2. - How do you check AI output before you send it?

  3. - Share a link to one Canva design you made.

  4. - Share social media relevant work examples that you have created

  5. - Share a link to a recent internet speed test result, or tell us your download and upload speeds.

  • - Start your first answer with the word "Saskatoon" so we know you read this far.

Requirements

What you bring

  • - 3+ years as an executive assistant or admin VA reporting directly to a business owner

  • - Clear, confident spoken English on the phone, and experience making sales or booking calls

  • - Hands-on automation experience: you've built workflows in Zapier, Make or similar, and can show us one

  • - Advanced AI skills: you build real workflows and agents in Claude (including Cowork, skills and projects) and ChatGPT, not just prompts, and you check every output

  • - A strong design eye, in Canva and beyond

  • - Experience running personal and business social accounts

  • - Excellent written English, and comfort working from voice notes and quick verbal briefs

  • - Proven discretion with personal and business information

  • - A wired internet connection, a backup connection, and backup power

Nice to have

  • - A background in design, home furnishings or events

  • - ClickUp, Microsoft 365, Squarespace, Slack, Mac computers, WhatsApp, Plaud, Google Workspace.
